Driver (Plus Warehouse Duties)
General Overview:
3 days a week provide recycling collections to commercial
establishments using 24 or 26 box truck not requiring a CDL.
Serve as back up driver for other recycling routes or shredding routes
on other days. On days when not training or going out on routes
you will assist in the warehouse in any way needed. Warehouse
duties are defined below. For routes, collection locations for
customers will be located inside or outside. For inside
collections the driver will push a 96-gallon cart inside offices and
layer office paper, mixed paper and cans and bottles from individual
offices from multiple collection locations. When full or job
complete bring cart back out to truck for processing. Stops where
bins are left outside, each bin will be designated for a material and
you will follow the following processing instructions for off loading
the materials. Using a lift gate take cart back into truck and
unload materials in the proper location on the truck, manually or when
possible using a tipper. Once all stops are completed
throughout the day return to the warehouse and process your truck using
a forklift and following all processing instructions for the warehouse.
